Rohit Padmanabhan CFA

President and Chief Investment Officer

Rohit is the founder of Lotus Asset Management and currently serves as President and Chief Investment Officer. After graduating from The Lawrenceville School in 2002, Rohit attended Rice University in Houston, TX, earning a degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis.

Rohit began his career in consulting, building complex financial models to help companies make decisions more effectively. Having always been involved in the financial markets, he then moved to an analyst role in Private Wealth Management. He spent 7 years, first at Morgan Stanley and then later at UBS, managing portfolios for Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients in TX and across the country. Rohit worked on a team managing more than $2B across all asset classes and was responsible for financial statement analysis, portfolio management, investment thesis generation and analysis, equity and fixed income trading, derivative products, and client reviews. He left in 2013 to found Lotus Asset Management, where he believed he could use his extensive experience with high-net-worth clients to bring a much needed service to a younger, broader audience.

Rohit lives in Nashville with his wife, Dr. Elizabeth Snyder, a pediatric radiologist at Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital. Outside of work, Rohit is the President of the Nashville Association of Rice University Alumni, President-elect and board member of the Phoenix Club of Nashville, board member of Purpose Prep Academy, an advisor at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, and the founding member of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s Nashville Advisory Council. He was also chosen as one of Nashville’s Top 40 Under 40 by the NBJ in 2023.

In his spare time, you can find him on an early morning hike or making pizzas for friends in his backyard!
